82 G. Eridani

82 G. Eridani (HD 20794, HR 1008, e Eridani) is a star about 20 light years away from Earth in the constellation Eridanus. It is a main-sequence star with a stellar classification of G6 V, and it hosts a system of multiple planets and a dust disk.
Although the system has six planets, all but one of them are super-earths too close to the star and therefore way too hot to be hospitable. The only planet in the stars’ hospitable zone, 82 G. Eridiani f, is as massive as Neptune.
82 G. Eridani f
This greenish-blue gas giant has several moons, one of them with breathable atmosphere and a comfortable surface temperature. Its largest moon, with a dense atmosphere and tropical temperatures, has barely any oxygen, but can be visited with the right gear.
Eri
The second-largest moon of 82 G. Eridani f is almost like a small version of earth, with thriving flora and fauna. Everything here is very tall thanks to the low gravity of 0.5g. It is home to one of the biggest moon metropolises:
- Eri City: a sprawling metropolis with 120000 inhabitants, and the seat of the former Eri government, before it merged with the Court and became the Eri Administration. The city has a space elevator which directly connects it with the Eri space station.

Dani
As the largest moon of the system, Dani’s surface gravity of 0.7g is almost pleasant for wayfarers that are used to earth standard. Its thick atmosphere is unfortunately unbreathable and because Eri is right around the corner, terraforming efforts have been minimal.
- Dani City: a city under a number of large domes, with a total of around 10000 inhabitants. But because this place is much less controlled than Eri, the real figure might be larger. Dani city started as a scientific project to study Dani’s unique Flora and Fauna, but it became home for the people who wanted to be away from the core systems but didn’t dare to go further. Thanks to the carbon-dioxide rich atmosphere and the thermal energy abundance, Dani’s oxygen and building material production is self-sufficient, which keeps living costs low.
